Can I just say something honestly and very seriously to all you writers?
With the Internet going down the “nothing adult, no death, no nothing. Make it kid friendly” route,
Please don’t ever stop making art or writing wips that are gruesome, horror, other things like that. Don’t let the Internet sanitize how you wanna tell a story. Channel your rage into your art and keep going and don’t give up
so much love for characters who are desperately unsure whether they’re a good person, a redeemable person, a person worth saving, but are absolutely certain that they’re a grade a hottie
The new no.6 book and all of these old fans coming out to discuss it is making me so incredibly emotional. Younger me is squealing with delight. I never would’ve guessed we’d get more of their story.
It’s so so wonderful. I’m incredibly grateful for the No.6 community. It really speaks to the power of Asano’s writing that the story that spoke to us so long ago has not only held up, but remained relevant this whole time. What a gift to be celebrating with everyone the reunion that I read about being promised as a teenager.
i like the phrases “it’s not for me,” “it’s not my thing,” and “i’m not the target audience” because they’re the most concise way to express “this thing that you enjoy has merits but idgaf about it” without being aggressive
